Wholemeal Baking Competition

As part of Savour Kilkenny 2015, The Little Mill are looking for Kilkenny’s junior bakers to wow us with their baking prowess, using traditional stoneground wholemeal from The Little Mill range.

In every house, there is a special recipe for brown bread handed down from generation to generation, we want you to use those traditional recipes as inspiration and put a modern twist on them.

Team up with your friends or your family across generations to create and prepare your own recipe, cooking or baking with The Little Mill wholemeal, and impress the judges with your dish!

It doesn’t have to be bread, you can come with any edible food idea that uses wholemeal flour in the recipe, so be as adventurous as you dare - the test is in the tasting!

Competition categories are Under 18’s and Under 12’s.

How to enter

  1. Register by emailing name, address, age and recipe details to kpurcell@kellswholemeal.com by Wednesday 21st 2015.
  2. Bring a plate of your product to The Little Mill Wholemeal stand at Savour on Saturday October 24th at noon! Judging will take place on Saturday afternoon by our esteemed judges.
  3. Winners will be announced at noon on Sunday 25th October.
