Preparation Instructions

You will need:

  • 360ml / 12.7fl oz of milk
  • large mixing bowl
  • 2lb / 900gms loaf tin
  • wooden spoon

To get started, turn your oven on 2 165C / 325F / Gas Mark 3 and lightly grease your 2lb / 900gm loaf tin with butter.

  1. MIX
    Empty the contents of the packet into your mixing bowl and add the milk together until you form a smooth wet dough.
  2. TIN
    Spoon the dough into the greased baking tin. Lightly press the dough into the corners using your fingers. To help the bread rise use a wet knife to cut a line lengthways down the centre of the dough approx. 1” / 3cm deep.
  3. BAKE
    Place the tin into your preheated oven straight away and bake for 35-40 minutes. When the bread i fully baked, an inserted skewer should come out clean. Turn out onto a wire rack and allow to cool before serving.
